003 → The New Art of Making Books
This work is a 64-page zine based on Ulises Carrión's manifesto. The publication is heavily informed by the artist's fluxus works and aimed to challenge the conventions of publication design through a more dynamic book-reader experience. The design system is further inspired by Carrión's exploration of space in poetry & experimenting with how the zine can play with spatial relationships in layout and design.
In some pages, the zine invites the readers to participate by drawing, writing, and rip a part of the zine off. These elements invite readers to engage which provokes a more dynamic experience.
